There’s big breaking news in Ashvegas – police have arrested a Fairview man for placing a $250,000 bounty on the head of Michael Schiavo and a $50,000 bounty on the head of one of the judges who ruled in the case.

The Citizen-Times has the story here.

From the press release, it sounds like the threat was made in an e-mail that Florida police got hold of.

Great. So it’s come to this, now. Once again, Ashvegas is going to get a bad rap for harboring right wing wackos willing to kill the husband of a brain-dead woman. I think the world has gone mad.

Excellent stuff. Good news-story out of Marion. We have a three part series on the Texas Hold ’em phenomenon set to start Sunday. Charaties use the game to raise money legally around here.
Friday night I was discussing the promotion of the series with the reporter when he tells me that the organizer of one of the two biggest games we have ever had in Marion County ( a $100,000 purse) was arrested for running an illegal game.
He wanted to hold the story until after his series ran!
    “AAAAAH! THAT”S OUR PROMO!!!”
no wonder they sent me here.
Speaking of illegal gambling, your pool money should arrive soon.
