Bill Addison, Eater.com’s restaurant editor, has named Asheville restaurant Local Provisions one of the 21 Best New Restaurants in America. Congratulations to the restaurant team and Chef/Owner Justin Burdett.

The prestigious list includes restaurants in big foodie cities around the U.S. such as Portland, San Francisco and Philadelphia. Here’s some of what Addison says about Local Provisions:

Burdett has a special virtuosity for expressing the seasons: A stunner of a dish in May included studied elements of earthy sweetness, with strawberries, tart homemade yogurt, barely cooked peas, and a kicker of angelica, an herb with a licorice nip. … Even in Asheville, a breathtaking tourist town chock-o-block with primo restaurants, Burdett’s talents distinguish him.

Check it out, and also check out the Eater.com list of 13 Hottest New Restaurants in Asheville, a list that includes Local Provisions (and a list that I compiled for Eater.)

Congrats again to Local Provisions.
