hank_dunn_2013Rumors have been flying all summer that Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College President Hank Dunn was moving on, and now there are reports that Dunn is a finalist for a job as president of Colorado Mountain College.

“The finalists will be invited to the college for interviews in mid-September and the board of trustees say they hope to reach a decision on the next president by the end of September,” reports the Aspen Business Journal.

Dunn has seen his share of criticism since he arrived three years ago. From internal changes he made, to his support of a tax increase to benefit the college, to his maneuvering to keep a critic off the board of trustees, to a fight with county commissioners over a new planned building on the campus, Dunn has not been the most popular man on campus. A little background here and here.
