Here’s the note from Darcel Grimes, stalwart WLOS anchor, who was out for several weeks to attend to family matters:

My sincere thanks for all of the prayers and good thoughts sent my way during what I can only describe as the most difficult time of my life. My mother fell and broke her hip, had surgery and ended up in the Intensive Care Unit for several weeks before passing. While dealing with her illness, I developed a severe upper respiratory infection. My Doctor gave me the okay to return to work today. Looking forward to being back on the anchor desk.
