alex_tati_asheville_2015The bodies of Alexandra King and Tatianna Diz were retrieved from the French Broad River yesterday and today. Both were in their 20s. The two women had been missing for more than a week, and were last seen with a man who has been charged with murdering another man at Pisgah View Apartments.

The death of the women, who were a couple, is a horrible tragedy. Both were well-loved, and now the community is coming together to show its love and support for them.

There will be a candlelight vigil for the two on Sunday at Canterbury Heights. Details:

Let’s gather as a Community to shine some light for Alex and Tati. We will gather at 6pm this Sunday evening in their neighborhood to light candles, hold vigil and to provide a Community forum. Please bring candles, fire and your healing energy. We will send it out to Alex and Tati. We as a Community … WE ARE ALL ONE! If you’ve never done anything like this before it doesn’t matter. Please come and show your support and gather as a community as ONE.

Please park in lot across from complex office in visitor section, then walk up the hill towards Building U and W where we will have our lights shining.

There’s also been an online You Caring fundraising campaign set up for the two women. The goal is $20,000, and so far, nearly $3,000 has been raised. Details:

As the tragedy unfolds in the disappearance of Alexandra King and Tatiana Diz, there is a need to raise funds to help cover end-of-life costs for these two beautiful souls. Sadly, Alex’s body was found yesterday. Tatiana’s body was found this morning. This is a loss that has affected an entire community.

Alex & Tati’s love for each other has been evident since the first time they met. Anyone who knows Alex & Tati probably laughed in their presence, and were warmed by their love.

I am a friend of the King Family who has encouraged them to reach out for support in this way. All funds received through this site will be shared with both the King and Diz families for any final costs. We realize Tatiana’s family is also suffering and needs our love. That is all we can do in these helpless and senseless times, share love~

Is anything being done for Uhon Johnson? It seems like no one is remembering the third victim, especially with the funding page. He had a one year old daughter and lived in Pisgah View so it seems like his family might really need the money. Just want to make sure we remember there were 3 victims, not just 2
