Rumors are flying that local TV news anchor Victoria Dunkle and her new beau, Kermit the Frog, are planning to tie the knot in the latest twist of their whirlwind romance that started last week with an innocent TV interview (see earlier posts).
Pals report that Kermit swept Dunkle off her feet this weekend after she confessed her undying love for him during their sweeps-week interview on the noon news last Friday. The two have been seen canoodling around Ashvegas, and local TV station insiders report that they’ve never seen Dunkle with such a glow.
Around the station, Dunkle, once referred to by some as “Victoria Frumpkle” for her dowdy dress, has suddenly sprouted into a spicy redhead sporting stilettos and miniskirts cut to there.
If a wedding is in the future for Dunkle, it would be the latest in an unprecedented wave of nuptials at the station.
Anchors Scott Wickersham and Candace Little tied the knot recently, while Cherub Charu and Julie “All the World’s a Wonder” Wunder are planning big hitches. (Station insiders also note that Charu won’t be outdone in the engagement rock category – her sparkler rivals the Bennifer beauty.)
Dunkle’s gal pals say that, aside from the shocking change in attire, their co-worker just can’t stop talking about her new beau. “She’s chattering all the time about how handsome he is and how he makes her feel special,” says one insider. “And Victoria has her own little term of endearment for him. She calls him ‘Special K.’“
There’s even speculation that the two might capitalize on their newfound love by hiring a camera crew to follow them for a Brittany-style reality TV show. Could “Kermit, Chaotic/ Victoria’s Secret Revealed” be coming soon?
