The owners of Books and Breadboard have launched a CommunityFunded.com campaign to raise $50,000 in 30 days to fund the reopening of the restaurant. The eatery was open about 18 months. It closed about a month ago after their lease was not renewed.

From the CommunityFunded website for Books and Breadboard:

When we found out we were going to have to shut our doors after our lease was not renewed, we were devastated. Our life savings were spent creating our dream, and after our new business being open for only 18 months, it had begun to pay for itself. Many said that was unheard of for a business that young, but we had faith and it happened.

With so many friends from the community supporting us we could not have failed. The outpouring of love and support from our faithful friends after closing the doors has inspired us to keep our dream alive.

We are going to re-open with the help of our community, in a new location with all of the same concepts and atmosphere. We want to recreate a place of gathering to meet old friends and family, (or make new ones) and enjoy outstanding food in a comfortable home away from home. We will continue to be ECO friendly, walking softly on our earth, using sustainable products, composting and recycling whatever we can. We look forward to this new adventure and being part of the community again.
