From the Asheville Beer Guy aka Tony Kiss of the Asheville Citizen-Times. The back story is that Sierra Nevada Brewing, which is building its new East Coast brewery in nearby Mills River, invited all the Asheville brewers to its famous “Beer Camp” out in California. Amid tours and talks, the Asheville brewers worked with the Sierra Nevada people to brew two beers. Those beers are headed to Asheville later this month. From the Beer Guy’s page on Facebook:

It won’t be long before we see the brew created by Asheville breweries during their visit this year to Sierra Nevada in Chico, Calif. The local breweries broke into two teams and worked with the Sierra folks to come up two beers – a red wheat wine (a sort of barleywine, high alcohol) called Carolina Dreaming and a black ale, more sessionable, called The Headliner. These beers will be sent to Asheville on the last weekend of the month and will be available at the local breweries.
