The Junction celebrates 4th anniversary with Dr. Seuss-themed beer dinner featuring Green Man Brewery

The Junction Restaurant & Bar in Asheville’s River Arts District is celebrating four successful years of business with a 5-Course Dr. Seuss Themed Beer Dinner featuring Green Man Brewery. The dinner will feature a few of Green Man’s year round offerings as well as a selection of specialty & seasonal beers including their outstanding Cheerwine Berliner Weiss & St. Hubbins Belgian Dark Strong ales.

As always, Chef David Van Tassel will create a fun and fabulous menu specifically paired to the beers, which are hand-selected for the occasion. The 5-Course dinner will feature 6 unique beers. -At Highland Brewing:

This week we have Woody Wood playing a free show in the tasting room from 5:30-7:30 on Wednesday.

On Thursday we host Green Opportunities for our monthly Community Night. $1.00 per pint will be donated to this wonderful, local organization who helps youth and adults living in poverty get and keep jobs that support their families and improve community and environmental health.

On Friday is our long awaited “Lost Cove Release Party.” We will have local food trucks on site and Delta Moon will be providing the musical entertainment. $1.00 per pint will be donated to the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy for the work they do in protecting the beautiful mountains around us.

On Saturday is the Appalachian Shakedown, a free music festival with funk, soul and jazz. This event runs from 6:00-10:00 PM and features music from Circus Mutt, Low Down Sires and Supatight.

On Sunday we host Pizza Pandamonium! This ticketed event is a local food competition that will decide the best local pizza slice in the area and will have music, local celebrities and is a FUNdraiser for Eblen Charities.

The Rosary Export Stout Aged in Brandy Barrels Bottle Release

This is the first of three releases in our Tryptic Series of Barrel-Aged. The bottle release will take place on Saturday May 16th. We open at 2PM on Saturdays. This is a limited release as only 4 barrels were filled. 750ml bottles at $17/each. limit 6 per person. No holds or pre-sale.

The Rosary Export Stout is rich and full of flavors such as plum (from the begin yeast strain) and coffee (from the malt bill). This version was aged in freshly emptied brandy barrels for 4 months.

Next Up in the Series: The Crucifix Tripel aged in a blend of red wine barrels. Release later in May; the Shroud Dubbel aged in malbec barrels on mejool dates. – Release in June.
