Here’s more of what’s going around, including news of a new Asheville co-working space that’s now open. Here we go:

Focal Point Coworking, a new co-working space in downtown Asheville, has opened at 125 S. Lexington Ave. membership rates range from $25 to $350 a month depending on level of membership and type of desk. The office suites range from $600 a month to $1,500 a month depending on the size of office and number of people in each office. -A fundraising event for SoundSpace, a new music practice space planned for the old Rabbit’s Motel on McDowell Avenue, is set for Friday at Isis Music Hall. The event will include performances by The Paper Crowns, Amandla, The Dirty Badgers, Zin Vetro, The Styrofoam Turtles and Moonlight Street Folk.

-The women’s clothing store frock Boutique is for sale. Email owner Betsy Bradfield at [email protected] if you’re interested.

-Craft Centric Taproom and Bottleshop in South Asheville will be home to a nano-brewery in summer or fall. It will be called Fermented Nonsense Brewing and will be owned by Matt Vaughn and Josh Austin, owner and manager (respectively) of Craft Centric.

-The Literacy Council of Buncombe County has an upcoming Americorps vacancy for fall 2018, according to a press release. Check it out here.

-RiverLink has announced the lineup for the 2018 RiverMusic series, as well as RiverFest. RiverMusic and RiverFest are presented in partnership by RiverLink, New Belgium Brewing, and 98.1 The River with special thanks to Stage Sponsor Prestige Subaru. Here it is:

    Coworking spaces offer great opportunities for serious microenterprise owners and aspiring freelance creatives trying to grow their businesses effectively. It’s great to see more spaces in town offering competitive pricing!
