-Liquefy, a CBD bar, has opened at 697 C Haywood Road in West Asheville. That’s the same shopping center as BimBeriBon and Foothills Meats.
–Apotheca, a new hemp store, is opening at 12 Battery Park Ave. in downtown Asheville. A grand opening party on May 17 will offer 20 percent off its products. “We are a plant medicine dispensary offering hand-selected CBD, Hemp, Kratom, & other effective herbal remedies,” Apotheca says on its website.
-CBD oil products for pets are a trendy, and growing, business, around Asheville, according to an April 25 story by WLOS-TV.
-The number of hemp farmers in North Carolina has more than tripled over the past year, WRAL reports.
-The hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) industry is expected to be worth $7 billion by 2023, according to Hemp Industry Daily.
