Asheville’s Bellamy Young to appear on ‘Marie’

Tony Kiss of the Asheville Citizen-Times reports:

Asheville-raised film and TV star Bellamy Young is featured on today’s episode of the talk show “Marie,” airing on cable’s Hallmark Channel.

Young, who plays the president’s wife on the ABC prime-time drama “Scandal,” will chat with host Marie Osmond about her work on the series. According to a release from Hallmark, she’ll also discuss her search for her biological family and how she has lost three fathers and what that has taught her.

The program airs noon-2 p.m.

The actress, who was known here as Amy Young, has found big fame in TV and in film. Along with “Scandal,” she has appeared on the TV shows “Criminal Minds,” “CSI Miami,” “ER,” “Law and Order,” “Boston Legal” and many more. And she’s been in the films “Mission Impossible 3” with Tom Cruise and “We Were Soldiers” with Mel Gibson.
