Kitchen and Company, formerly of River Ridge Mall, has moved to near the Michael’s off of Tunnel Road. Its new location has a wine and beer area with over 1000 different labels and a climate-controlled storage room.

Kitchen and Company is a national chain retailer of kitchen and table items. According to Scene, it’s Asheville’s largest kitchen supplies store.

Wine lovers take note:

Kitchen and Company, Asheville’s largest kitchen supply store, has moved from the River Ridge shopping center to a larger location on River Hills Road, next to Michael’s arts and crafts store.

Though the chain store’s inventory of kitchen gadgets, knives and glassware remains essentially the same, the new location allows for a new wine and beer area the store has nicknamed “Vintopia.”

Kitchen and Company has put so much stock in its expanded wine selection that it’s imported wine expert Matt Nock from Delaware to handle the buying. Nock’s resume includes managing a number of wine shops, mostly up north. He estimates the store carries more than 1,000 different labels, with about 60 in a climate-controlled storage room, including high-end Napa cabernet, Champagne, Amarone, Barolo and other upper-tier wines.

Great beer selection, but hit Brusin’ Ales first.
