Asheville Green Drinks to feature Greenlife founder, local milkman tonight

Join us for Asheville Green Drinks on Wednesday evening for a panel discussion on “New Ventures in Local Food Distribution in Asheville.”

This week’s Green Drinks will be at Mojo Coworking, 60 N. Market St., in downtown Asheville. The program begins with a social at 5:30 p.m., followed by the panel discussion at 6 p.m.

The discussion will feature John Swann, cofounder of Greenlife, vice president of the board of directors at ASAP, and consultant at Blue Ridge Food Ventures of the soon-to-be opened Katuah Market in Biltmore Village.

Jonathon Flaum, of Farm-to-Home Milk, the new local milk and foods delivery service, is also a featured panelist.

Swann and Flaum will reflect on challenges in our local food economy and how business owners and the community are working together to overcome these challenges to strengthen our local food system.

Asheville Green Drinks is coordinated by the Western North Carolina Alliance. Green Drinks is a networking party and part of the self-organizing global grassroots movement that connects local communities with environmental ideas, media and action.
