There’s so much going on this weekend that it’s a little mind-boggling. Read on for details.

 

Thursday

-Chimney Swift roost viewing party, 6:45 p.m., Asheville Civic Center parking garage.

Asheville Van Life Rally, 4 p.m. at Wedge Foundation.

Friday

Asheville Barnaroo music festival at Franny’s Farm in Leicester features Southern Culture on the Skids, Holy Ghost Tent Revival, Parker Gispert (of The Whigs), Pierce Edens, The Resonant Rogues, Laura Blackley, Midnight Snack, The Get Right Band and more. Friday through Sunday.

-Sly Grog celebrates its new location on Haywood Road with a grand opening celebration that will last all weekend. Kickoff is 7:30 pm Friday, and the weekend features a lineup of eclectic music and late-night partying.

Overland Expo East, Biltmore Estate, Friday through Sunday, an expo for adventure travelers.

-BEAT LIFE with Blockhead, Bombassic, Koresma, + Grizzleboogie brings world-class beats from internationally-renowned and local producers to New Mountain Asheville. 9 pm show, $12/$16.

Black Mountain Songs at Diana Wortham Theatre, Friday and Saturday.

Saturday

Asheville Coffee Expo, Saturday on Ralph Street in the Asheville River Arts District.

-Natural Born Leaders and Friends at Salvage Station is a night of sweet sounds from NBL, Spaceman Jones, and The Jake Quillin Band. Be sure to check out our edition of Soundcheck AVL featuring NBL! $7, starts at 9 pm.

Blue Ridge Pride Festival, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Pack Square Park. Musical guests include Jane Kramer, Paper Crowns, Brie Capone, Calavera, Matt Ryans, Ashley Heath, Hospital Call, Brief Awakening, Jordan Okrend and more.

Sunday
Woods & Wilds Storytelling and Music Festival, another event at Salvage Station, is a full day of storytelling, live music, and more to benefit Dogwood Alliance. $10 suggested donation; 1-10 pm.
