Here’s your beer party of the week in Asheville. It’s called Burnpile, which is Burial Beer’s awesome beer festival. This is a great chance to check out Burial’s new expansion. Deets from loyal reader Jess of Burial:

–26 different beers from 25 different breweries
–2 from Burial- Slasher Sweet Potato Porter brewed with local sweet potatoes from Paper Crane Farm that were smoked by 12 Bones Barbecue AND our Press Apple Tripel made with 35# of Fuji apples from Hickory Nut Gap Farm and aged on Defiant Whiskey Oak Spirals
— 2 Ciders- 1 from Noble Cider and 1 from Urban Orchard

Come celebrate seasonally inspired beers from the creative WNC Community. We have breweries’ beers from all over WNC including the almost opened Haw River Farmhouse Ales.

Elliot Moss, chef and owner of the future South Slope restaurant, Buxton Hall Barbecue will be on site cooking up some delicious food for sale from 2-6ish/until food runs out.

Local AVL band, Hermit Kings play at 6:30PM and The Nude Party from Boone, NC play at 8:30PM.

Ticket details:

We will be selling a 5oz commemorative event footed glass at the door for $4 (kind of like an entry fee)- you keep the glass.

Beer tickets will be for sale for $2 a piece at the door as well as at a second location outside (no transactions will take place at the bar, just beer pouring).

1 beer ticket can be exchanged at the any of the three pouring areas for a full pour in your commemorative event glass.

Thanks!

Jess

Figured I’d throw this out there if any beer drinkers read the comments. Harris Teeter on Merriman has CASES (not 12 packs) of Sierra Nevada’s Beer Camp. 2 each of the 12 beers. It’s something like $46, which is fair as the 12 pack was $23. One of the managers told me they came from Sam’s club, which couldn’t sell them.

They are at the end of the beer aisle facing the meat counter.
