Asheville Citizen-Times Answer Woman Casey Blake reports that a new Italian restaurant is in the works for the former Pinapple Jack’s spot at 643 Haywood Road.

Blake reports that property owner Wayne Forehand told her that a new tenant took over the lease in November and has been quietly at work on a what is expected to be an Italian restaurant. The new restauranteur used to have a food truck in the area called Arancini, which specialized in Italian comfort food, Forehand told Blake.

Last November, I posted a blog update noting a new sign up in the window at the old Pineapple Jack’s announcing Kitchen 643 was coming.

Pinapple Jack’s closed last July.
