Located just outsideAsheville in Burnsville, Shortbus is an art studio affiliated with a private non-profit residential agency called Yancey Residential Services. This agency provides a variety of services to the developmentally disabled in our community including persons on the Autism Spectrum and has been doing so for over 20 years.
Shortbus is an outsider art gallery that currently has nineteen artists with various special needs. They produce a variety of items for sale including paintings, drawings, t-shirts and greeting cards. The profits of these sales all go right back to the artists and in keeping Shortbus Studios running with needed supplies and programming.
