WLOSers join the blogosphere with ‘Inside News 13 Blog’

Share

WLOSers have just decided to join the blogosphere. Congratulations! C’mon everybody, let’s peer into the Inside News 13 Blog. Here’s News Director Julie Fries:

The purpose of this blog is to let you know about the things you don’t see on the air during news time. We’ll tell you about what goes into certain decisions and interesting things that happen behind the scenes. We also encourage you to email us with blog topics. We’ll address viewer feedback and answer questions you might have about the news and the people who bring it to you. Join us “Inside News 13” to get the story behind the stories.

Wow. That’s quite  statement. Fries is ushering in a new era of interactivity and openness with this statement. “We’ll tell you about what goes into certain decisions…” Really? Great! I think the community wants to know how WLOS chooses its stories, how it approaches the news, etc.

Fries goes on encourage people to send in blog topics, and notes that WLOSers will “answer questions you might have have the news and the people who bring it to you.” Awesome!

Check out the new WLOS blog, and fire away. Thanks to Lightnin‘ for the heads up on this.

What kind of blog doesn’t offer a RSS feed option? Guess I won’t be reading it regularly. I give the WLOSers credit for trying, though.

I cannot resist. The one & only question I will send to the WLOS Blog is "Why are you wasting time and energy on Larry Blunt and not hiring Frank Kracher to fill that chair next to Darcel once again?"

BREAKING NEWS: I will not get an answer.

I agree – it will be interesting to know why these decisions are made. Did I detect a note of sarcasm in your response?
