Susan’s new ‘do

Susan Mundy sports a classy new ‘do. (This is not it here.) Looks good, Suze. High time you changed up your look a little, although it does make you look older.

Susan is a solid reporter. Others at the station could learn from her handling of stories and interview style.

Reporting live, in the Davidson River
Sheraldo, in typical Sheraldo fashion, took the daily weather story to new Sheraldo heights by actually rolling up his pants and getting ankle deep in Transylvania County’s Davidson River to report on how hot it is outside, but how cool and refreshing mountain water is.

That’s all fine and dandy. But we didn’t really need to see Sheraldo trying to do the Electric Slide with a mom and several teenaged girls at a camp site. And Diva Darcel piled on by dorkily dubbing her man in the field Sheraldo “Cool” Barber. Whaaaa?

Whatever happened to…

Terri Wise and Robert Green?

Wise was one of the very few black female reporters we’ve seen come through WLOS. She wasn’t here long, so we don’t remember her distinguishing herself in anyway, except that she was the apple of H.K. Edgerton’s eye and the local NAACP chapter gave her a medal for it.

Green was an English-accented reporter that had about a four-year run in the mid to late ’90s. He ended up suing WLOS, saying he was fired for talking back to his bosses, or something like that.

I’ve Googled both and found nothing. Anybody got any updates?

I caught that Sheraldo segment and thought, gee, how goofy can you be. Maybe it is the heat getting to me, but all newscast seem to be corny lately.
