Where the magic happens

Here’s an exclusive, unique look behind the scenes at the local TV station. It’s a raw view of how the news is made here, folks. Turn away if you can’t take it. It’s sorta like watching them make hamburger – if you don’t want to know all the gory details, stop looking now.

If you’re still with me, let’s break this down a little bit. You’ve got the giant Kleig lights. Thus the need for the excessive pancake Candice and Sheraldo wear.

You’ve got the teleprompter there in the middle – looks a little old. I wonder if the scroll is a little sticky, and that’s why some of the folks (Victoria???) have such a hard time reading the news.

You’ve got a couple of old TV sets to the left and right, I guess so the folks can look at themselves. You’d think they’d have some better moniters than that. That piece of crap on the right still has the rabbit ears sticking out of it.

As you look to the foreground, you see the cheap cardboard construction of the desk. The only nice thing about it is the surface, which viewers see. (hmmm, I feel an analogy coming on, something about how you could say the same about some of the local personalities…nahhh)

Notice the chair on the left, the female anchor chair, with the big pillow so the girls can sit up tall as the boys. There’s the brand new blue waste basket holding all of the rewrites on Candice’s weekend scripts.

Still, this is where the magic happens, folks.
