WLOSers on Wednesday night at 10 had a lead story about sex trafficking being confirmed in Asheville, but there appeared to be nothing new about the case they sited.
There was something about a shooting, and a note about a couple being arrested after they were caught on video tape stealing a flat-screen television out of a store in Canton.
Courtney Brennan mangled the pronunciation of a local upscale dental office in her report. She said the office, Bouche, closed unexpectedly, citing a doctor’s illness. Courtney kept pronouncing the name of the practice like it rhymed with “douche,” only that’s wrong. It’s pronounced like this: “Bou-shay.” You know, like, French. Courtney talked to a former patient who put a finger in his mouth to point out his dental work.
In other news: Environmentalists have sued Duke Energy over the Rutherford County power plant its building there; there might be a referendum on alcohol sales for the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino laster this year; Gov. Easley signed the state budget today; and restaurants are (shocker) charging more. WLOSers checked out Asiana, where the buffet costs 55 cents more, and Mamacita’s, where the prices for spices are going up. They also had video of the Wednesday tailgate market downtown.
WLOSers also did a profile of Dixie Deerman, who is sleeping under the magnolia tree on Pack Square Park to keep an eye on it. The tree sits on the site of the proposed Parkside condos.

ok, peeps, you got me. i stand corrected.
Actually, Bouche IS pronounced "boosh" in French.
She actually pronounced it right, unless the dentist pronounced it wrong. I took 2 yrs of french in high school and 3 semesters in college. Heard it many times come out of my teacher’s mouth when I was talking too much in class. It’s "Boo-shh" like what a ghost says and the first half of sh*t.
??? Surely it’s pronouced ‘boosh’, as in the French word for mouth?
