From loyal reader Allison:
On a different note, have you heard that Terra Diva on Lexington closed?
A friend and I just walked down to do a little shopping, only to find it closed and very near empty with a “For Lease” sign out front. A guy from a neighboring shop was outside and he said it just happened in the last few days.
I’m so disappointed… it was a really fabulous little shop, and the owner was so nice. The customer service there (and at Dessous, their 2nd outpost that was briefly open in the Grove Arcade) was always top-notch. They will definitely be missed.

Yikes. Please retract my smartass comment. Cancer is no joke. The website is a great idea and very well done. Thoughts, prayers, and well wishes for the little guy and his family.
Thanks for the compliment ! I closed at the 1st of the month to take care of a family issue. The wonderful people I have met through the years will be greatly missed . Thank you all !!!!

Here is an example of where we can have some empathy for a local small business owner. (not my place to give serious details b/c I don’t personally know the owner)
A member of the owner’s family has a serious illness. The time requirements, family stress and financial strain has overtaken there little business.
Much of the inventory was sold and other business assets were stored until the situation improves or a decision is made to give Terra Diva another shot.
May our hearts and prayers go out to there family. If anyone personally knows the family, maybe you can explain the situation more and call on Ashvegas readers to help in some way.
Don’t frett it will be soon be a bar or brewery . . .. (Sarcasm)
I don’t know the family well, but learned this news through a mutual friend. Cori’s young son was diagnosed with cancer and is going through treatment now. She closed Terra Diva so she could focus on her son’s care and her family. Here’s his web site with more information and updates on his progress:
