Press release here. If you can support Western Carolinians for Criminal Justice, please buy a ticket or simply make a donation. This small non-profit does incredible work.
The Board of Western Carolinians for Criminal Justice (WCCJ) cordially invites you to Big Night on the Bayou – our 12th annual fundraiser on Friday, May 8 on the grounds of the Cathedral of All Souls in Biltmore Village. The celebration begins at 7:00 PM and includes a buffet dinner with authentic Cajun dishes and a silent auction of fine art, collectibles, pottery, weekend get-a-ways, excursions and more. Bayou Diesel, the only working cajun/zydeco/Louisiana-style dance band in WNC will play. Tickets are $55 p/p or $100 p/couple and may be purchased by credit card until May 1, 2009. Call WCCJ at 252-2485 and ask for Kathy.
For over 26 years, WCCJ, a nationally acclaimed, Asheville-based non-profit, has tackled the increasingly complex and expensive social problems of incarceration by providing gender sensitive, community-based treatment alternatives to prison, including Women At Risk and the WCCJ Men’s Program. All proceeds from Big Night on the Bayou benefit WCCJ programming.
