As I mentioned in my blog bits post, it’s been months since WLOS said goodbye to anchor Frank Cracker and WLOS has yet to name a successor.
Scott “Scottie-too-Hottie” Wickersham appears to be the heir apparent, but as far as I can tell, it’s not a done deal. In fact, there’s still a job posting on the local TV station’s Web site. It’s been up since January.

That is straight off the Web site. Looks like they need to do a little spell check. And it’s interesting how “personality” and “enthusiasm” are valued more than things like accuracy and delivering useful information.
I’m sure Swick is jockeying for the anchor seat, but I don’t know if Diva Darcel will have him. He’s good lookng. He’s younger than she is. His eyebrows wiggle up and down more than her’s do.
But does he have what it takes to cut it? Can he read his script professionally when the Teleprompter goes down? Can he crack a witty tossback better than the next guy?? Can he keep his paws off the interns??? (kidding. i’m kidding!)
Only time will tell, my pretties. Stay tuned.

They need to add to description, “Be able to stomach Mark Hyman’s rants and Sinclair’s political slant…”
But does he have what it takes to cut it?
No, but he’s sure got the pretty boy anchor look, doesn’t he?
Can he read his script professionally when the Teleprompter goes down?
Probably
Can he crack a witty tossback better than the next guy??
No — proves that every day
Can he keep his paws off the interns???
Apparently not — he couldn’t even keep his hands off Candy Cane. What was it, a couple of weeks after he arrived that he and she were seen canoodling (sp?) out on the Ashvegas bar scene? Of course, it must have been written in his contract — too much coincidence for him to just randomly take both Mike Slydecki’s anchor chair, desk, -and- girlfriend.
Best bet would be to have Tammy get the job, but I don’t know if even if Ashvegas is willing to accept two female primary anchors. The Tammy & Darcel combo is the best they’ve had, at least since the days of Jon “Fired for Lack of Glitz” Griener, although Frank & Tammy made a good pair. Either one of them does wonders for their co-anchors’ performances (and, unfortunately, that’s what they are: performances).
