Press release here:
“SHIFT,” a site-specific exhibition featuring work by UNC Asheville Multimedia Arts and Sciences students will take place from 7-10 p.m. November 12-13 on UNC Asheville’s campus in and around Zeis Hall. The exhibition will begin both nights with an opening reception in the main lobby of UNC Asheville’s Zeis Hall, where maps to the installations will be available. The exhibit features work that blends creative expression, technology, and interactivity in installation art. The events are free and open to the public.
“SHIFT” reflects upon the dialogue between reality, perception and shifting perspectives, and considers the migration of self, society, informational architecture and physical space. The exhibit includes moving soundscapes, large-scale projection mapping, interactive video, and immersive experiences. The Digital Video Art class will present “SHIFT: part I” on November 12. “SHIFT: part II” by the Experimental Media Sound class will take place November 13.
