Word on the street is that Truth & Salvage Co., an L.A.-based indie rock band with big Asheville ties, will be in Asheville on Tuesday to shoot a music video. Advance people are already in town setting up and shooting some B-roll.
The band consists of six great musicians, with four of them once hailing from Asheville and doing their thing with a band they called Scrappy Hamilton – Bill Smith, Scott Kinnebrew, Walker Young and Joe Edel. Tim Jones and Adam Grace round out the group. The bunch met in L.A. and formed Truth & Salvage Co.
The band has been on a great upswing over the past few years. Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes chose Truth & Salvage to be on its record label, with Robinson producing Truth & Salvage’s debut album, which was released this spring. The band played the Grey Eagle to coincide with that release, and last year played the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium as the Crowes’ opening act.
It’s great to see a crew from Asheville sticking together, and coming back to celebrate and do more work. I’ll post more details about the video shoot as they roll in.
