I’m about to launch a website in Asheville called theAVL.com. Was wondering if you can do a shout out about it on your awesome blog! We just have a ‘coming soon’ page on the site for now.
Basically, theAVL.com is a website where all of the content is LIVE streaming and uploaded videos posted by and for Asheville. For now, people can submit their videos to submit@theAVL.com and follow @theAVLdotcom on Twitter for the latest updates. www.qik.com and www.ustream.com are great websites people can visit to set up live streams via their smart phones. And of course, youtube, vimeo, etc. links can be submitted as well, along with a brief description of the video.

John Yenne did a version of it about three years ago with http://www.ashvid.net. Not sure how active it is these days. We posted a bunch of videos early on, but haven’t really done anything with it since (http://www.ashvid.net/profile/MHCweb).
