The Salt Spa of Asheville opens on Hendersonville Road

From loyal reader Rick:

I thought the man who takes the pulse of the City and knows what’s happening around town, before it even happens, should be among the first you know that my good friend, Inez Clark, has just opened the first Halotherapy spa and holistic respiratory center in North Carolina. Although it has been a well-known and highly therapeutic treatment for respiratory and pulmonary disorders practiced in Europe for centuries, Halotherapy (or salt therapy) has only recently been introduced to wellness facilities in the US. Sitting (fully clothed) in a lounge chair for 30 to 45 minutes, inside of a hermetically-sealed salt room (akin to the atmosphere of a natural a salt cave), a microclimate with very small salt particles is created that enters and is absorbed into the upper and lower respiratory system. This therapy has proven to be successful in supporting healing for people with symptoms ranging from asthma, allergies, hay fever, pulmonary and respiratory disorders, to skin diseases, high blood pressure, sinus problems and immune system deficiencies. And aside from all the medicinal benefits, the salt-spa is just really cool. Hot? Well, awesome. Very calming and relaxing.

The Salt Spa of Asheville, at 473 Hendersonville Road, is certain to be a big hit in eclectic Asheville. I would urge you to check-it-out yourself.
