Can’t wait to play the course. It’s hard to hit a good driver anywhere around Asheville without hitting a trusfarian or a vagrant.

I am admittedly not a huge fan of David Cohen’s sketching style, but that is just my personal taste in cartooning. His content, however, is clever, provocative and usually spot-on! I think that’s the important thing. It is very cool that you post his work here, Ash.

My opinion? Tiger Woods has already proven himself to be the greatest golfer of all time. It would serve his reputation well to construct the "greenest" course in the world. Seems to me the two go hand in hand – the concept is a natural.

But an environmentally conscious effort of that scope would likely cost a boat-load of money. I guess that even when you’re The Billion Dollar Man, it is still all about selling mega-mansions and the bottom line. That’s unfortunate, Tiger.

I wonder what those conservation efforts were for a golf course that will suck massive amounts of water from the watershed then return in loaded with pesticides, herbicides, fertilizer, and whatever litter the golfers leave (not even mentioning the mansions they’re building).

I laughed out loud when, on the news, over the weekend; Tigger spoke about the "conservation efforts" by the developers !!!!!!!!!

Conservation would have been to leave all that land alone.

"Touche! I was going to graffitti that on a billboard, but figured they would haul me to the pokey and throw away the key."

I was too! I think of that every time I pass one of those billboards. I also think of all the bears, turkeys, trout, etc… that have been bulldozed out of their homes. This development is a crime against nature and nothing less. Frankly, it pisses me off that our so-called protectors are sanctioning the slaughter. (To paraphrase the Chuck Brodsky song.)

Good on ya for calling it as it lays.
