The Black Crowes prepare to release new album and launch former Asheville musicians

August 11, 2009 – (NEW YORK) – THE BLACK CROWES have moved the release of their new studio CD,Before the Frost…Until The Freeze to August 31, 2009.

The second album, titled…Until The Freeze, will be given away for free exclusively through a unique download code which is included in Before The Frost… as a “thank you” to their fans for two decades of continued support.

Chris Robinson produced the debut album for Truth & Salvage Co. which will be the first new artist released on The Black Crowes’ label, Silver Arrow Records through Megaforce Records.

Truth & Salvage Co. boasts four lead singer/songwriters and originates from the mountains of North Carolina. Their organic sound has been described as “pure American Rock & Roll.”

Chris Robinson had this to say about Truth & Salvage Co.:
“I feel that Truth and Salvage Company is the perfect band to expand the roster and the possibilities of what Silver Arrow can be in the future. I’m always inspired by sincere and dynamic music and this is the first in what I hope is a long line of introducing new music to people.”

Truth & Salvage Co. will open for The Black Crowes “Stuck Inside Utopia” Tour 2009 beginning on August 25 at Wolftrap in Vienna, VA and concluding with a five night run at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco, CA on December 6, 2009.

Truth & Salvage Co. will release a four song EP, produced by Chris Robinson and mixed by Paul Stacey, to coincide with the 2009 tour.

and Joe Edel-Bass.
