TEDxAsheville is Sunday. Check it. Meantime, meet another one of the speakers, Angela Shelton:

In this powerful presentation, Angela tells the story of how she went Searching for Angela Shelton and discovered the epidemic of sexual and domestic violence. After being on the road speaking with her film for years she has spoken to over 30,000 survivors and seen common threads from trauma=health problems to the repeated cycles of violence and self-abuse. She has seen how communities help the violence continue and what they can do to break the cycle.

Angela bring awareness to the very old epidemic of abuse. She about unity, healing, and living joyful lives in the face of violence. With an estimated 39 million survivors of childhood sexual abuse in America today, awareness and healing are key.

Sounds like a lot of feel-good hot air BS! What a waste of time and money.

All this is true but her talk tonight is NOT about abuse or trauma at all. she will be bringing levity and wisdom to our stage. Angela wants to create in the world a simple model of awareness and communication through humar. Her presentation tonite will set the bar for future speakers. to reach out and touch the hearts of those they contact. SQUISH, The heart of the matter.
