The popular Sugar Beet Cafe & Deli in Fairview has closed. A couple of loyal readers have pointed it out to me, and the cafe owners announced it on their Facebook page:
After a busy two and a half years, Sugar Beet Cafe is closing its doors. We would like to thank everyone for all of your support. You have been great, and we will miss each and every one of you!!
There’s no further explanation as to why. More as details come it.

Best french toast in the world! Will miss it.
That is truly disappointing news. Those folks had very good food and it was a great addition to the Asheville culinary scene. It goes to show just how important it is for us to patronize local businesses as often as we can. I wish the Sugar Beet crew all the best.
I drove allllll the way out there yesterday for a much anticipated brunch only to be completely shocked and disappointed by the note on the door.
Boo hoo… loved that place
