We happened upon some flickr pics that zen posted and had to learn more. That led us to ellipses’ flickr photos and a little more about this mural project in West Ashvegas. It’s called the Street Science mural project.
The gist of it, as you’ll see by checking out the above links, is described in this newspaper story from awhile back: The project “includes local artists interpreting various patterns of nature on the historic West Asheville Bank on Haywood Road. Mural designs will range from minimalist color studies and illustrative painting approaches to graphic stencil and graffiti work. Sponsored by Arts2People’s Asheville Mural Project and produced by Rachel Fields, the mural project will take place throughout late July.
Check it out. It’s on the side of a building at the corner of Richmond Ave. and Haywood Road, across the street from the biodiesel pumps. The folks above have tons of cool photos of the project.
