Saturday night, downtown Ashvegas was alive again with flocks of tourists, plus the Goombay party on The Block and the final Shindig on the Green of the season. Only in Ashvegas will you find a block party on one street and a classic mountain hoedown a few streets over.
But I digress. Asheville has a great mix of street artists, and it seems that a new one pops up each week. I’d never seen this guy before, but he was set up just outside the noodle shop on Pack Square, doing space-age scenes in spray paint on tin. He could whip out a final product in about 10 minutes, and he sold them for $10, which was a steal. The guy was good.
