Some weekend news

A Polk County sheriff’s deputy was hit by a suspected underage drunk driver police were chasing. The deputy was tossing out a Stop Stick when the driver hit him. The deputy is unconscious in the hospital, Kassandra “Special K” Pride” said. … There was a 15-acre brush fire in Broad River Saturday. The fire threatened some homes, but nobody was injured… There was a shooting on Depot Street – somebody fired into a home. And there was a shooting at Livingtston Street Apartments. Girls were shooting at each other, but nobody was hit, WLOSers said police said…. And WLOSers said there was a snow advisory in effect for counties along the Tennessee border. Julie Blunder didn’t say anything about us getting some snow in Ashvegas, but we got a dusting. The snow will surely be the top story for WLOSers today, Sunday.
