Wow. I don’t know where y’all were all weekend, but you decided to get some things off your chest. Check out the “What you said page,” where there are all kinds of fresh “nanny-nanny, boo-boo” type comments.

We sprout a Julie Wunder fan. Screwy Hoolie has a question about flag burning. Lightnin’ loves the Newsbreakers.

Oh, and there’s much more on mountainados – Bulldog chimes in, Weather Dude tries to school us, as does Mountain Man, who says we better watch what we say about Mack-Dowell County.

To see what people are saying, click here, or click on the button at the left that says “What you said.”

That information is partly correct and partly incorrect! Accuweather does indeed make several graphics available for usage on the airwaves for WLOS, however, Accuweather does NOT forecast for WLOS. I can assure you that WLOS does indeed do their OWN forecasting!

Accuweather does provide forecast to stations that wish this level of service, but WLOS does their own forecasts. I posed this question to them before and they assured me that Cuevas does his own forecasting….wrong or right…imho, more right than wrong 🙂

Although it pains me to halfway defend her, I must make a point about Julie Wunder’s forecasts. The graphics and forecasts for WLOS are created by Accuweather, a weather forecasting company in State College, PA. If the forecast busts, then the blame lies in Pennsylvania, not at WLOS.

I don’t work at WLOS, so I don’t know how much leeway they have in changing the forecast to suit local conditions, but knowing Accuweather, I would suggest that its not very much.
