Jason Smith, who plays in the Asheville band Night’s Bright Colors, has released a solo Halloween project online. I’ve listened to the album, and I can’t praise it enough. It’s wonderfully moody and spooky and fun. Simply brilliant. Go and listen and download. Now.

My name is Jason Smith and I play in an Asheville-based group called Night’s Bright Colors. I have enjoyed exploring your Ashvegas blog…very thorough! I wanted to let you know that I have a new solo Halloween project called Absinthe Twilight that can be downloaded for free (or audio streamed ) at www.nightsbrightcolors.com/absinthe. I was wondering if you would consider posting a link. I’m not interested in selling this, I would just really like people to have this is they want it.
More here, from the web site.
Thanks for your note, Jason! I’m constantly amazed at the wonderfully creativity of Asheville musicians. Just another plug here for another Halloween project – this one called Zombie Boogie by the Mad Tea Party. It’s another must-listen.
