Tonight, WLOSer Scott “Scottie2Hottie” Wickersham said goodbye once again. As we know, he’s headed to Charlotte to rock the daybreak and noon broadcasts at WSOC-TV. On the six tonight, Scottie said he’d be “batching it” for a few months while his wife, fellow WLOSer Candice Little hung around Ashvegas for three or four more months. We don’t know why – could be riding out her contract or something.
But we thought we’d take this time to do a little retrospective of Scottie’s two-year stint here in Ashvegas.
Here’s Scottie all dressed up for his wedding earlier this year. Scottie married Candy Cane in a grand affair down in her homestate of Georgia. Candy is a former beauty pageant queen and former Miss Georgia.
Scottie, a looker himself and sporting some nice bank, snapped up Candy after former WLOSer Mike “Snaggletooth” Hydeck flew the coop. This is a picture of the happy couple after their honeymoon – I think it was a Caribbean cruise or something.
This is a picture of Scottie after an undercover report he did on a local biker gang. Scottie infiltrated the Spahnkenhaus Speeders, a ruthless crew of mountain-based gangsters who had a penchant for making and dealing meth, as well as inflicting some hot heine action as part of hazing ritual to join the club. Scottie came back with powerful video of his own initiation, and the painful paddling. And his report spurred a crackdown on the butt-numbing bikers. Way to take one for the team, Scottie!
Scottie, will miss you and your leather bomber. Keep in touch, big guy.

charu is the best reporter wlos has got – she’s got the best contacts and the gets the most respect from viewers.
so are those who moved on NOT suckups? Crocker, Markham, now Wickersham?
Just goes to show Truth Hurts has no clue.
Holly got the reporter position because she worked hard and well in her prior positions on the desk and as a producer, has a good attitude, had reporting experience in another market, is at least as good a reporter as most of the rest of the staff, knows how to play the newsroom politics game, and (yes, this is TV) is pleasant to look at.
Oh, and to put "Cha-Chi" in the same category as Russ & Michelle is a huge insult to their skills/talents. Charu’s nice enough when she wants to be, but her reporting is not ready for this size market, particularly on the late shift without more management oversight of her scripts.
yeah, holly is about as green as they get…but the news director likes anyone that sucks up.

i have to disagree about charu..she’s terrible.
Scott is actually a pretty good reporter, him Cha-Chi and Bowen and Boudin are the only ones that are worth something. Holly Headache really wasn’t ready for the big screen. Everyone knows the only reason she got the job was for sucking up. Just goes to show its all about who you know!
