Keith and David tell the boys that David is going a way for a while. The boys are mad. David says he has to go to a funeral directors conference in Portland. David promises Durell he’s coming back, but the boy isn’t buying.

Ruth with Maya at the dinner table. Brenda’s mom comes in. “Ruth, it isn’t the ’50s anymore, no matter how you dress,” she says, chastising her for leaving the front door open.

Brenda’s mom says Brenda’s baby will remain in the hospital for a few more weeks.

Rico with the family at the dinner table. Rico is dreaming about owning his own funeral home. He needs the Fishers to buy him out. Or sell. Nate left his share of the business to Brenda.
