Once again, A.C. Reynolds is hosting a SAT practice test for any student throughout the region who is interested in getting a handle on the test with the aim of improving scores.Students will have the opportunity to sample the test and gauge their strengths and weaknesses on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at A. C. Reynolds High School (ACRHS). The practice test is free from Kaplan, and a $10 donation collected at the door will support the A.C. Reynolds PTSO, the event sponsor. Check-in begins at 8:30 a.m., just inside the ACRHS front doors, and students should bring pencils, a graphing calculator and any water or snacks they might want during the 4-hour test. The test will last from 9 a.m. to approximately 1:30 p.m.In addition to taking a practice test under timed conditions that simulate the actual SAT administration, students will receive detailed feedback on their performance, including an analysis of their strengths and weaknesses.Students from any school may attend so tell your friends. A Kaplan representative will be available at ACRHS on Sept. 15, 2011 from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. to provide scores and meet with students and parents. This allows some time before the first round of SAT tests administered by the College Board in October and November.Advance registration is strongly encouraged by calling 1-800-KAPTEST, but students can register at the door.Once again, A.C.
