GREENVILLE, S.C. — Jane Robelot, former network news anchor and reporter, will join WYFF 4 beginning in January 2007.
With nearly 20 years of experience as a journalist, Robelot returns to her hometown of Greenville as a contributing reporter and anchor for special programs and news reports.
“My family and I are thrilled to be in Greenville, ” Robelot said. “My broadcast career began in the Upstate and now to be a part of the WYFF 4 team brings me full circle. I hope my stories will add a bit of color to people’s lives, bring a smile and some encouragement.”

Robelot joined CBS in March 1995 as anchor of CBS Morning News. From August 1996 until June 1999 she anchored CBS This Morning.
During her tenure at the network, Jane was awarded two national Emmys for journalistic excellence.
While at CBS, Robelot also served as a New York-based correspondent reporting for various CBS News broadcasts. She covered some of the most important news events of that time, including the Oklahoma City bombing and the death of Princess Diana.
“Jane is the real deal, a curious reporter who took her knack for storytelling to the world stage. Now that she’s returned to her roots, she’s bursting with local stories to tell. I can’t wait to see them on WYFF 4,” said WYFF 4 News Director Andy Still.

Before joining the network, Robelot was a news anchor at WCAU-TV in Philadelphia. She has also anchored at WGCL-TV in Atlanta and at WSPA-TV in Spartanburg. Robelot began her broadcasting career as sports director at radio station WCCP in Clemson, S.C.
Robelot is a graduate of Clemson University and describes herself as an avid Tigers fan. She is married to Mario De Carvalho, a cameraman with CBS News. They have one son, George.
Viewers will get a chance to see Robelot on WYFF News 4 at 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
