Sorry for splitting hairs, AD. You are a "Narrowminded" knuckle-dragger. Childish? The truth knows no age.

Progessive is such a great way of saying "Status Quo" Or "Narrowminded"
Reality check . . .
No one cares what you think or your score, your not the bottom line or the authority you claim to be, stop kidding yourself. And as for knuckle dragger thanks for the childish name calling.
I trust/hope all progressives who oppose the decidely regressive Tea Party do not even think about showing-up tomorrow for some kind of counter-demonstration. This Right Wing group’s anger-driven tactics and message don’t deserve any recognition or legitimization. Let them protest all by themselves and then lie about the number of people who attend. I hope it pours rain.

Just "czeching" the math, Asheville Dweller. One for seven so far. Not bad for a knuckle-dragger like you. Keep trying.

I try to stay way out of politics, and have found that a comfortable area to be… But I too have wondered where the Tea Party folks were during the last administration.
Alas, I am an independent, so I am equally offensive to both parties…
(oh well, gave me a good excuse to use the word ‘alas’…now I need a good post to use ‘sans’…)
I wanted to watch Obama’s message on healthcare.
Sure wish these protesters would take all that energy and volunteer with Manna, or with YWCA… Alot of people out there that could use help.
These people are certifiably nuts. I enjoy watching them make fools of themselves.
Still whining about Bush blah blah blah "where were you?". Change the record please . . . They are in their right to protest what they want, when they want, about what ever they want. Hating Bush is not a prequisite for protesting as your sadly misinformed and ignore in the 1st Amendment, it is a Two way street.
The only thing I can see productive about this is that WLOS maybe sinclair but its an ABC affiliate and ABC brought us the Obama Infomercial for Health care that no one watched here recently.
And I do feel they are wasting their time protesting WLOS on a day no one is there, this is more of a symbolism over Substance. Why not schedule a protest outside on a Monday during the 6pm news??
Where were these so-called “patriots” when the Cheney/Bush Administration was taking this nation straight down the toilet? Those who now claim to be proud Tea Party members did not seem upset that the richest 3% of Americans were paying the least taxes – that billions upon billions of dollars were being wasted on an illegal war – or that the government was robbing citizens of their Constitutional rights. “Operation: Can You Hear Us Now?” was silent. In fact, it did not exist. Rolling over and taking it up the you-know-what on behalf of a corrupt White House somehow made them all feel proud. It was a terrific eight-years, was it not? Suddenly a political movement is born. It protests everything President Obama is trying to accomplish. It is against EVERYTHING. Wow, that is what I call “patriotism!”
Now let us get beyond the kooky politics and consider the simple logistics of Saturday’s “grass roots” demonstration. As I understand, it is planned to start at the corner of Long Shoals Road and Schenck Parkway – the entrance to Biltmore Park. Picture a traffic jam at the lights that will piss-off anyone driving anywhere near there. Then IF the police actually allow participants into that exclusive little village, they will have to march through the town square to get to the TV station. The press release Ash posted here does say “a public protest at our local ABC affiliate, WLOS.” For anyone who has been down there – that is a pretty long walk – especially with all those heavy signs they will no doubt be carrying. They ought to also be aware of the Fall Festival in Biltmore Park this weekend. Messing that up will no doubt help them attract quite a few more loyal followers.
So I wish the Tea Party idiots the best in their “patriotic” effort to force the so-called Mainstream Media into line – their crazy line. And speaking of followers, I am certain they will keep getting all the “truth” from FOX and Rush. I hope they all take a minute to look around on Saturday, while they spew that spoon-fed garbage. There really aren’t that many of them. To that I say “God Bless America.”

I’m still perplexed by the Teabaggers protesting a station owned by the right wing company Sinclair. It’s sort of like biting the hand that feeds you, isn’t it?
Oh those teabag nutjobs! The local station in my new hometown ran a story in July about a local teabag nutjob party event. Only about 6 people showed up! The organizer was some old geezer – he was upset with the turnout. 3 words for the nutjobs: get a brain! (and a life!)
YES! If only these networks could be as fair and balanced as FOX news. I mean it was okay when WLOS actually did refuse to air Nightline when the names of all the deceased servicemen killed in Iraq were read, but that was when it was patriotic to NOT criticize the congress and executive Administration. Now it is common knowledge that a true patriot does just the opposite (at least until our party gets back into power.)
