Every Wednesday from June 15 – August 17th, folks are invited to help crochet pieces for an Asheville Reef. Crocheters and wannabees are meeting at HandMade in America between 11am – 2pm. Come for an hour or longer, learn from an experienced crocheter (Jean Castle) if you don’t already know how, supplies & patterns provided.The Asheville Reef, can be seen as it grows and evolves at The Center for Craft Creativity and Design in Hendersonville, and is part of a collaborative projectcreated in 2005 by Margaret and Christine Wertheim of the Institute for Figuring in Los Angeles. There are groups meeting at UNCA and elsewhere around WNC.
