Orange Peel launches ‘Coming Live to the Orange Peel’ podcast with Becky Upham

Hi Jason,

I am producing a free music podcast for the Orange Peel and I am trying to get the word out about it.  Here’s a little info about it.

The podcast is called “Coming Live to the Orange Peel.”  It comes out about once a week.  It features songs by artists who are coming to the Peel, as well as a little information about the bands.  We also do ticket giveaways.  The podcast is available free (and listeners can subscribe to it) by going to the iTunes store.

Listeners can also listen on their computer through the Orange Peel website, www.theorangepeel.net.  We hope to expand the format of the show by including “unplugged” recordings and live recordings from the Peel, as well as short interviews.  Here’s the link to the download.  This week’s edition features OK Go, Ra Ra Riot, Those Darlins, and a live song from Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band.  ComingLive10-29.mp3

My name is Becky Upham, and I produce and host the show.  I write a weekly music column for the Xpress called “The Profiler,” and I used to co-host a show on main-fm called “Your Mom’s Idea.”  I just did the blogging for A.C. Entertainment for Moogfest, and I’m an all around music lover/fan.  I teach 4 spin classes a week (2 at the downtown Y and 2 at the YW) and it’s the music that gets me through it!
