Readers of the Mountain Xpress have once again voted Ashvegas “best local website” and “best blog.” It’s three years in a row for best website, and six in a row for best blog.
Thank you to everyone who took time out to vote; to everyone who has taken time to reader and comment; to everyone who has sent along a story tip or idea; to everyone who has corrected my spelling. Without you, of course, there’s nothing. You’ve helped me create a special community here.
I started this site as personal creative outlet, and it’s changed as I’ve changed. There was no real intention, other than to express what I liked (or didn’t like) about Asheville in my own way. Asheville is growing and changing, too. I can’t wait to see what happens in this town that I know we all care about.
I hope you’ll stay with me as the evolution continues.
All the best,
Jason

Hey Jason,
Seems like a good time to take a second and thank you for your blog.
I have been reading it regularly for a couple years, and I really enjoy it.
You always seem to post all the latest re real estate, politics, and food before anyone else.
But you know, it’s not knowing things first I really care about….I think somehow you just cover the real local people, places, and things I am interested in.
It really creates a sense of community and connection that I like.
So Thanks! And congratulations on being recognized.
