Yea, all true. BUT the contractors on the project have done an incredidble job putting this project together. I have paid close attention since the framing through the winter and enjoyed a tour a couple of months ago. These guys are rocking it out. Pay attention, they are supposedc to turn the hotel over to the owners in just a few weeks.

It is very boring architecture for sure. Since it is right next to the interstate, I certainly hope that they have good soundproofing in the guest rooms.
What nondescript architecture. Are the days of Asheville having distinguished examples of architecture over? Was Douglas Ellington a fluke? Will there ever be another local company (or public institution) to hire someone with a national/international reputation like I.M Pei? Is the future of Asheville’s best architecture all destined to be in the past?

If it was any closer to the street, it’d be on the other side.

I would have built it closer to the street if it was me.
