Really refreshing to see a revival of sewing. This is something many of my generation learned to do. We spent a whole half a school year making a properly sewn apron in Home Ec.
Lots of sewing machine repair shops have closed in recent years…..an indication of just how scarce the seamstress has become. So I am over the moon that the young’ins are taking this up. There is something very grounding in threading a needle and basting together some fabric. Or oiling up a trusty machine to get ready for a project. Here’s to reviving almost lost, feminine arts.
