Northern Lights spotted Monday around mountains of WNC

Share

There are lots of reports about the Northern Lights being seen Monday night around Western North Carolina, and around the South. From USA Today:

The phemonenon known as the Northern Lights, or the aurora borealis, made a rare appearance as far south as Georgia Monday evening, according to WSAZ in Huntington, W.V., and other news organizations.
The reason is that a solar wind made the colorful sight visible much further south than normal, WSAZ reports. There have been sightings reported from Kentucky, Georgia, Indiana, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Arkansas and other places, according to published reports.

Did you see it?
