OMG, I hope nobody comes….otherwise, they might get scrutinized for spending money on attending a conference. Especially in such a nice place as Hawa, err, Asheville, in the dead of wint, err, in the spring time. Expense could reach, oh, say, $14,000. And the encouragement to bring their wives…..heaven forbid. That could run up the tabs and maybe allow the hotel to charge more. And shops and restaurants might make some money. That just wouldn’t be right to hold a conference in a nice location where things are expensive, at a time of year that helps attract attendees. Nope. We’ll be better off to cancel this so those folks who come here don’t return home to picketeers waiting for them at their airports. But it will be ok if no one does come….and the businesses lays off its employees and closes. Because all those people who don’t want to further business and industry can support all those laid off people. Maybe we better hope no one attends any conferences that might help grow our economy because the investment (expense) probably won’t be worth the return (economic growth). It’ll be ok. Once we’re all unemployed, we can just spend our days hanging out at the airport.
